Infertility Treatment

It is that couples cannot have children for 1 year despite having unprotected sexual intercourse. If there is a new marriage and no children for 1 year yet, this is primary infertility. If there has been a child or pregnancy before, but there has not been a child for 1 year, it is secondary infertility. In general, the inability to have children is caused by 55% women and 45% men. The most common cause of female origin is ovulation and clogged tubes. In fact, most of them are treated effectively.

Female Infertility

Female infertility can be caused by factors such as ovulation disorder, fallopian tube obstruction, intrauterine adhesions, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). For these reasons, female infertility may require medical or surgical treatment.

Treatment methods include options such as ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), ovarian reserve test, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy. These treatments can be performed using hormone therapy, surgery or assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

Male Infertility

Male infertility can be caused by factors such as an inability to produce semen, infection or damage to the testicles, disorders in sperm production. In male infertility, a sperm analysis is usually performed. Treatment options can be carried out with medical or surgical treatments or assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

Treatments include medications to improve sperm count or quality, options such as surgical intervention, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF). ART is used in cases where the sperm count is insufficient.

Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART)

Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) aims to increase the chances of pregnancy by using eggs and sperm cells produced in a laboratory environment.

Technologies such as IVF and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) involve procedures such as injecting a sperm cell into an individual egg. Embryos are usually waited for a few days to monitor their development and then placed into the uterus.

The treatment option may vary depending on the underlying causes, the patient’s age, medical history, and other factors. Some couples can solve the problem of infertility by making dietary and lifestyle changes. However, couples need to work together and get support to cope with the infertility problem.

Infertility treatment may not always be successful and may require several attempts. However, most couples can manage to get pregnant with proper treatment and support. Couples can talk to a reproductive endocrinologist or gynecologist to understand the cause of the infertility problem and learn about appropriate treatment options. In addition, support groups and psychological help to cope with infertility can also be useful.

As a result, infertility is a problem experienced by many couples, and there are treatment options. Infertility, which may be caused by female or male causes, can be treated with methods such as hormonal therapies, surgical interventions, ART. It is important for couples to work together and get support. Although infertility treatment is not always successful, most couples can manage to get pregnant with the appropriate treatment option and support.
